Welding - Advanced NQ Units

What is special about this course?

This class allows for completion of ONE of the following SQA units -

  • Manual Metal Arc Basic Welding Practice
  • Tungsten Inert Gas Welding Skills
  • Metal Inert Gas Welding Skills

Please specify on your application form which unit you would prefer to do. Places on each unit are limited and are on a first come first served basis.

Please note you will need safety shoes and a flame retardant boiler suit for this course.

There is an additional charge for materials on this course.

Practical instruction is available in electric arc welding and includes -

  • Manual Metal Arc Basic Welding Practice
  • Tungsten Inert Gas Welding Skills
  • Metal Inert Gas Welding Skills

Each unit is currently available as an Evening class in Thurso, studied for three hours per Evening, once a week, for 12 weeks.
