What is special about this course?

This short course is available at Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced levels. This will enable you to become experienced in using the Microsoft database Access application, from basic beginners to advanced use of the functions of the application package.

There will be plenty of "hands-on" experience to use the package. Although there will be a set structure for the course the trainer will try to pitch the content and Level to suit the group of participants on the day.

Entry requirements

By the end of the course, participants should be able to use a variety of functions, including -

  • Loading Access and Screen Functions.
  • Database templates
  • Database Components
  • Opening database files
  • Saving database files
  • Creating tables
  • Modifying table design
  • Entering and editing table data
  • Queries.

The Intermediate course covers a variety of functions -

  • Using templates
  • Relationships
  • Using forms
  • Using reports
  • Using wizard
  • Running queries.

 

The Advanced course covers a further selection of functions -

  • Using templates
  • Relationships
  • Using forms
  • Using reports
  • Using wizard
  • Running queries
  • Sorting and Grouping
  • Calculations in Access
  • Linking tables
  • Importing data
  • Using the switchboard.
  • Adding objects to forms
  • Reports, Macros
  • User security.
